Privacy Policy.

Information you send: when you email, book a call, or send files for a project, Mwell Design receives whatever you choose to include — typically your name, email address, employer, and the contents of your message or documents. Project files may contain information about third parties; where they do, you remain responsible for having the right to share them. Information collected automatically: loading a page causes your browser to send technical information — IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you view — through the analytics and advertising services listed below and through {hosting provider}’s standard server logs. Billing information: payments are handled by Stripe. Mwell Design does not receive or store your full card details; it sees only what Stripe reports back — the fact and amount of a payment, and the billing name and email. There are no forms on this website; nothing is collected from you directly unless you send it.

This website uses Google Tag Manager and Google Ads, which set cookies and similar identifiers to measure traffic and attribute enquiries to advertising. They load when you open a page. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of personalised Google advertising at adssettings.google.com. Blocking them does not affect your ability to read the website or to contact Mwell Design.

Mwell Design uses a small number of external services, each bound by its own privacy terms: Google Tag Manager and Google Ads (traffic measurement and advertising attribution); Google Fonts (the two typefaces are requested from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address to serve them); Google Calendar (scheduling calls — booking sends your name and email to Google); Stripe (payment processing and the customer billing portal); unpkg (a CDN used to load one animation script); and {hosting provider} (hosting and server logs). Personal information is not sold, rented, or shared for anyone else’s marketing. It is disclosed outside this list only where required by law, or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Information is used to reply to enquiries, to carry out and deliver design work, to invoice and take payment, to keep records required for tax and accounting, to understand which pages and which advertising bring people to the website, and to keep the website secure and working. Mwell Design does not send marketing email. Your address is used to reply to you, to run a project, and to invoice — nothing else. There is no mailing list, newsletter or automated sequence, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from. If that ever changes, it will be with your explicit agreement first.

Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for {retention period, e.g. 12 months} and then deleted. Project files and correspondence are kept for {retention period} after a project ends, so a document can be reopened or amended. Invoices and payment records are kept for {retention period} to meet tax and accounting requirements. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to Google’s own retention settings.

Mwell Design operates from the United States, serves clients in the United States, and this website is hosted in the United States. All information described here is stored and processed there. If you contact Mwell Design from outside the United States, information about you is transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection law may differ from that of your own country.

You can ask, at any time, what personal information Mwell Design holds about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask for a copy in portable form, or object to its use. Where consent is the basis for a use, you can withdraw it. Requests go to hey@mwelldesign.com and are answered within 30 days. There is no charge, and exercising any of these rights will not affect the service you receive. These are offered to everyone who contacts Mwell Design, whether or not a statute requires it.

Mwell Design does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and does not direct this website at children. In accordance with the United States Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, if Mwell Design becomes aware that a person under 13 has provided personally identifiable information without parental consent, that information will be deleted promptly.

Mwell Design takes reasonable measures to protect the information it holds, including access controls on the devices and accounts used for client work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and Mwell Design cannot guarantee absolute security.

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the services used or in the law. The date at the top records when it last changed. Material changes affecting existing clients will be notified by email.
